John Lindsay, also known as JohnnyG, is a Saxophonist, Composer/Arranger, Bandleader, and Producer from Georgia. He started playing sax at a young age, and since then has studied concert, classical, and jazz saxophone in several different ensembles. Throughout the years, he gained interests and started studying other outlets in music, such as writing, other reed instruments, music production, and audio engineering. He continued his music studies and graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2024 on a full scholarship. He plays sax professionally around the US, performed alongside Conan O’Brien, Mavis Staples, and Thao & the Get Down Stay Down at Newport Folk Festival 2024. He also plays sax at many types of events, including dances, weddings, private events, DJ + sax hybrids for clubs, and even stadium shows for the major league rugby team of New England, where he has opened for the bands Crash Test Dummies, Orleans, and Cracker. When not performing solo/with other bands, writing music, or producing music, John performs with and music directs for his 2 own bands, JohnnyG & The Dynamites and a 17 piece band, The JohnnyG Jazz Orchestra!
